This 15-minute, no-obligation chat is a great way to “test the waters”. It allows you to discuss what you’d like to work on, ask any questions you have and, most crucially, get a sense of whether I’m the right therapist for you. The first session (50 minutes)

After a brief but essential chat about confidentiality, we’re ready to roll. This session often involves me doing a lot of listening (after all, I’ve got a lot to learn about you and your experiences). However, every client, and every session, are different.

We may or may not use hypnosis in this session, depending on what works for you. Clients often like to experience  a gentle hypnotic induction (without any therapeutic work) at this point, just to get a sense of what it’s like.

Towards the end, we’ll discuss a general treatment approach and, if you like, the likely number of sessions we’ll need. There’s no obligation to stick to that number, and you can end therapy whenever you like. It’s my job to help you reach your goals as efficiently as possible, and in the minimum number of visits.
